Are You Putting Your Company In The Shop Window Like Iceland?

It was good to finally see the sunshine at the weekend after months of wind and rain.

Having dusted off my bike I rode into Winchester. Cycling alongside the river in the city centre I went up to the old train viaduct at Hockley which has now been turned into a cycle path. It really is a great view over the water meadows.

On the way back through the city centre something caught my eye. It was the local Iceland shop!

If you haven’t heard the news, Iceland has just been voted the number one large company to work for in 2014. They are back in first place (as they were in 2012) having come second last year.

They are naturally proud of their achievement so they literally put the news in the shop window, which means that anyone passing the shop would learn about their success. They also gave clear instructions on what to do if you wanted to apply for a job with them.

People like to work for successful companies. If you have any business successes then make sure you let people know about them. You may not be able to physically put them in your own shop window (as you may not have one) but make sure people at least can find and share in your successes online.
